While you have your detective work in mind, remember you also have to make a good first impression.Were you tongue-tied and did you feel that you hadn’t made a very good job of selling yourself?Your first phone conversation with a stranger can be tricky - especially if you are trying to get to know each other in the process. A phone call is an excellent way of testing the water.Good conversation enders are: "I have a million things to do," "Well, it's been really nice talking to you," "Actually, Tm kinda busy right now," and "My beeper's beeping, gotta run! Remember, early on in a relationship, the man is the adversary (if he's someone you really like).He has the power to hurt you by never calling again, by treating you badly, or by being around but indifferent.
